What would it be like to say let’s go to Target and get a new desk chair and you both go and talk and laugh and bring home a new chair?

What would it be like to have him ask how I’m doing? How’s your day, how’s your emotions.

What would it be like to have him encourage me, appreciate me, and build me up as a women and his wife?

What would it be like for him to compliment me to other people?

What would it be like in a conversation to be treated with respect, treated like an equal, and like your opinion is just as valid as theirs?

What would it be like to have your ideas validated or even celebrated?

What would it be like to actually feel their approval?

What would it be like to have them surprise you? Like with a small gift or to plan a little trip somewhere they know you love?

What would it be like for them to humble themselves and accept accountability- when they hurt you?

What would it be like to have a simple disagreement and talk it out, with no attacks or blame shifting or escalating, so you resolve it and laugh gently together while grinning at each other adoringly?

What would it be like to consistently experience empathy and understanding from them?

What would it be like if you made a mistake and they didn’t immediately jump on you like a shark smelling blood in the water?
